The Music Department at Camp Lohikan covers a lot of territory. Lessons are provided in guitar, keyboards, drums, bass and singing. Instruction covers beginner through advanced levels. Participants in the elective program can schedule as much music as they like. Music operates every period every day. Music is definitely in the air at Camp Lohikan! In addition to daily classes, there are many opportunities to perform in camp. Weekly campfire performances spotlight musical talent each week. Camp-a-palooza Concerts are scheduled every 2 weeks.
The Music Department is directed by a professional with teaching experience in the camp setting.
Our instructors are recruited from around the world. Performing Arts Staff Instructors are undergraduate/graduate students with college level experience and, in most cases, teaching experience.
Instruction covers beginner skill levels as well as advanced levels in guitar, keyboards, drums, bass and singing. Private lessons are also available in each of the departments.
