We have a great group of campers and staff excited to welcome you to the Camp Lohikan community this summer! Camp Lohikan is a warm, friendly camp community where the traditions of "American Summer Camp" have been thriving for more than 65 years. Campers travel from over 25 states and from all over the world to participate in our program. We feature every imaginable arts, sports and adventure activity and an elective program which allows campers to choose their favorite activities on a daily basis!
Many of our international campers enroll at Camp Lohikan with the goal of improving their English speaking skills. Having a basic understanding of English is very helpful, but international campers do not have to speak it perfectly to have a successful experience at Camp Lohikan.
Being immersed in our English-speaking environment helps our international campers master their English skills quickly. Our American campers and staff embrace our international campers and are always eager to help if a fellow camper is having a problem understanding.
To further their mastery of the English language, Camp Lohikan offers international campers 3 FREE, one-hour English tutoring classes their first week in camp. Additional private or small group tutoring lessons are also available. Click here for the English Tutoring Registration form.
International campers fly into one of the airports located in New York (LaGuardia or JFK) or New Jersey (Newark Airport). A member of our staff will be there to pick up your child/children. Typically, campers will arrive the same day camp starts for all campers. For departure, a member of our staff will escort your child/children to the airport. Additionally, we have numerous families who accompany their children to the US, and bring them to one of our bus locations in the New Jersey or New York area.

Each International camper will call home on their day of arrival to assure parents of their safe travel. During their stay at camp, all campers have daily access to email. Campers can email home every day. It's part of the daily program. Campers can also receive emails. We print the emails and deliver the mail to the camper on a daily basis. Parents can also make arrangements to telephone their camper during their stay at camp.
International campers enjoy experiencing American culture in and out of the camp setting at Camp Lohikan. During their stay, campers have many opportunities to attend off camp canoe trips and rafting trips on the Delaware River, golf outings to local golf courses, as well as participate in a very active intercamp games program where they get to visit other summer camps in our area. We also schedule trips for the whole camp to amusement parks like Dorney Park.
